I just sent an e-mail congratulating you on the new website and a few grouchy words about the advanced practitioner status. Then I went to a section named - "Find a mediator/arbitrator". there are several places named - find a mediator, or locate a mediator, or something similar. In one area it does qualify the statement and state that only advanced practitioners are listed - do you see what I mean? Why, pray tell, do my life membership in the Academy of Family Mediators, my 20 year membership in that and this successor organization, my absolute and unqualified professional commitment to mediation and arbitration, my many seminar presentations on mediation and arbitration, my 10 year commitment to the accreditation committee of our local court system, and the hundreds and hundreds of hours spent with families in conflict, not give me the lousy satisfaction of having your superb organization print my name in a listing available to the public? Terrific new look - and thanks for the added benefits (e.g. brochures we can use, etc.,) - I am excited about this "separate" website. Thanks - Fred Meister. (I am still not crazy about the requirements for "advanced practitioner" and the lofty heights and visibilty accorded those folks - I hoped I was finished filling in applications and forms and touting my virtues when I started charging more per hour than I used to earn in a week. Alas, I may have to conform yet again and blow my horn to demonstrate to others, at least on paper, that I know what I am about and that others agree - I know, I sound an awful lot like a grumpy old man but it is so much like the competitive nonsense we lawyers go through - check out the 2005 - 2008 issues of "Super Lawyer" magazine, and I guess I want mediators to take a higher road.) I looked at your list of Advanced Practitioners. 1. My area code is "585" and not "716". 2. Bobbie Dillion is an Advanced Practitioner and is not listed. 3. Lyn Jacob is dead! How long has it been since you have updated this list? Submitted By: John W. Heister

I am an Advanced Practitioner member. I have just moved from W. 58th Street in NYC to 119 Washington Place, Suite C, New York City, NY 10014. How do I change my office address on the ACRfamily section and general ACR sites? Thanks, Dolores D. Walker 212-691-6073 Submitted By: Dolores Walker

Hi: Nice website! It'd be good to include more about the brochures, and info on how one can obtain them --on the home page. Cheers, Cindy Submitted By: Cindy Cook (ACR Board Member)
